About Us

The Center for Community and Cultural Research (PPKB) of the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia, is an institution consisting of five areas of activity: seminars and training, research and publication, collaboration, performing arts and production, as well as publication, documentation, and social media.
The synergy of these five areas is expected to address contemporary challenges with an emphasis on community and cultural fields.

In carrying out the functions, PPKB also develops cooperation with various institutions both within and outside Universitas Indonesia, including government agencies, private sectors, and NGOs, while paying attention to cultural developments in the country. Through the numerous collaborations established, PPKB FIB UI is expected to make broader contributions to efforts in addressing cultural and societal issues in this beloved nation.

1. To conduct humanities-based research that is multidisciplinary in nature.
2. To facilitate and motivate research through a multidisciplinary approach.
3. To organize training, seminars, dialogues, and other activities based on cultural and humanities studies.
4. To publish the results of research, seminars, and training.
5. To establish strategic partnerships with relevant institutions, both at the national and international levels.

PPKB aims to develop various fields with an emphasis on social and cultural issues through the following activities:

1. Independent or group research, both short-term and long-term.
2. Scientific meetings in the form of training, seminars, workshops, and others.
3. Scientific publications in the form of internationally indexed journals.
4. Innovation in learning through the utilization of digital resources.
