DEPOK, April 2, 2026 – The Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia (FIB UI) successfully held a socialization and sharing session for the International Festival of Youth – 2026 on Thursday (4/2) at the FIB UI Campus, Depok. The event served as an information bridge for students aiming to participate in the international youth gathering scheduled to take place in Ekaterinburg, Russia, from September 11–17, 2026.
The proceedings opened with a warm welcome from the Vice Dean II of FIB UI, Dr. phil. Lily Tjahjandari, M.Hum., followed by remarks from the Head of the Center for Curriculum and Instructional Materials Development (PPKB), Dr. Ahmad Fahrurodji, S.S., M.A., and support from the Head of ILUNI FIB UI, Visna Vulovik. The presence of Mr. Mikhail Alikin, Chief Advisor of the Division for International Cooperation with Asian and African Countries, further underscored the importance of international youth collaboration in shaping a fair global future.
During the sharing session, Salsabila (French Studies alumna) and James Mendrofa (Student Affairs Manager) shared inspiring experiences from their participation in previous programs. Students were introduced to various engaging agendas, including “Trend-battles,” TED talks, and the Regional Expedition Program, which allows participants to explore cultural codes across 30 Russian regions.
A Call to Action from the Head of PPKB FIB UI
During the event, Dr. Ahmad Fahrurodji issued a special statement reminding prospective participants to prepare immediately and avoid delaying their registration.
“I urge all students to make the best possible use of the remaining time. The main registration phase closes on April 30, 2026. This is a rare opportunity to build international networks and represent both your alma mater and your nation on the world stage,” said Dr. Ahmad Fahrurodji.

According to the organizers, the festival is open to students and youth aged 14 to 35. Key details include:

- Selection Process: Participants are required to write an essay and upload a video presentation.
- Facilities: Organizers will provide accommodation, meals, and local transportation for accredited participants.
- Incentives: High-scoring participants may be eligible for international travel grants.
