DEPOK, March 4, 2026 – The Center for Cultural and Language Development (PPKB) of the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) held a farewell and appreciation event for the outgoing board members of the 2022–2026 period. The event, which took place on Wednesday (4/3) from 12:00 to 13:30 WIB within the FIB UI campus, was marked by a solemn yet relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
The ceremony served as a tribute to the significant contributions made by the former board members in advancing cultural and linguistic programs within the university over the past four years.
Leadership Welcomes and Appreciation
The event commenced with a speech from the Dean of FIB UI, Dr. Untung Yuwono, S.S. In his address, he expressed deep gratitude for the loyalty and hard work of the board members who have completed their service.
Echoing the Dean’s sentiments, Dr. phil. Lily Tjahjandari, M.Hum. (Chairperson of PPKB for the 2024–2025 period and Vice Dean II of FIB UI) expressed her appreciation for the synergy built during her tenure. Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmad Fahrurodji, S.S., M.A., the current Chairperson of PPKB (2026–2027 period), reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the baton of leadership and the innovations initiated by his predecessors.
Farewell Messages and Award Presentation
Following the speeches, a session was held for the outgoing board members to share their reflections and experiences. As a symbol of gratitude, certificates of appreciation and exclusive tumbler merchandise were presented to the outgoing members:

The procession was witnessed by the current PPKB board (Zaini, Annisatul Laili, Candra Alif Irawan, Saefudin, Yatin Nuryanto, and Azmita) as well as the PPKB student interns (Cut Anasya Zahara, Desiana Tri Utami, Nadya Ananda, and Salsa Amelia).
A Warm Moment of Togetherness
The highlight of the event concluded with an emotional yet cheerful moment. All attendees stood together to sing the song “Kemesraan.” The atmosphere grew even warmer with live guitar accompaniment by Dr. Ahmad Fahrurodji, S.S., M.A. and Zaini, S.Sos., M.A.
“This farewell is not the end; PPKB will always be a home for all of us. If in the future PPKB requires additional personnel, your names will be the first in my mind to be called back,” said Dr. Ahmad Fahrurodji at the closing of the event.
Through this activity, PPKB FIB UI hopes that the spirit of dedication instilled by the former board members will serve as an inspiration for the new board in managing the organization moving forward.
